Self-Care Challenge January 17th 2021

Welcome to your first Self-Care Sunday Challenge! This week we are going to start simple. This week I just want you to get a drink, with you. I don’t care what you get to drink, it can be coffee, tea, hot chocolate, whiskey or water just take your drink alone. That’s right find a few minutes maybe 10 to sit alone with your drink and just relax. Maybe read a book, listen to some music or just stare off into space, this is your time! No kids, spouses, or animals allowed to interrupt. While you are enjoying this time alone take a moment not to focus on everything you have to do, or the dinner you have to make, just breathe relax and enjoy!!

I am going to sit down with a nice cup of tea, green mixed with a honey lavender, and read my book for 10 minutes. This is my favorite way to take a moment for just me, especially since I am notorious for keeping myself so busy I forget to slow down and just breathe. I hope we can help each other remember to slow down and focus on ourselves every now and then.

  2. Thank you for starting with something that seems attainable! Trying to take care of myself often feels like another thing on my to-do list that I’m failing at. I’m going to actually sit with my coffee and the paper for 10 min 🙂
